The #TwentalHealthAwards – The Winners

It now gives me great pleasure to announce the winners in the first ever #TwentalHealthAwards. I’d like to thank all of you who voted or otherwise gave feedback.

In announcing the winners and runners-up, you may notice that some categories only have one runner-up rather than two, or no runner-up at all. This is because, as stated in the rules, to qualify for a runner-up award a tweeter has to have at least three votes. You may also notice that there’s a category missing from the lineup. Although some people did place nominations in the Therapy category, there was a whole variety of them, all with one vote each, and it didn’t feel appropriate to pick a winner based on that.

I’ve departed slightly from the original stated rules in that I’d previously stated that in the event of a tie I’d cast a deciding vote, but in practise it seemed more practical to just declare joint winners.

As this is the first time we’ve done this set of awards, we’ll open a discussion thread later asking for feedback on what works and/or what doesn’t, both in this award and in the TWIM Awards, in order to help with planning for next year.

In the meantime, it’s now time for me to announce the winners.

    Thank you for coming up with the idea fo the awards and making it happen Zarathustra – must have taken tons of work (and adding up). The only flaw is that none of us could have nominated or voted for you and Pandora who are both such forces for good in the world of social media and mental health (and no doubt beyond) :-) ,
